Prepare for mass complaints about the unfairness, though. Last Stand: You may get a few kills this way, it's good because shotguns are CQC and this perk only works up close. Stuns: Look in the same place. Smoke cannot be used with Special Nades x3 : When you need to run across large open areas with a Shotgun, a smoke is your nade.
However, most of the time if you need to use a smoke to get around, the map is probably to large for shotgunning. With the exception of a few maps such as Crossfire and similarly played maps. Kill the first one by looking down the sights and aiming for the head, kill the rest by shooting from the hip. Multiple people who aren't camping who do or don't see you. Shoot from the hip, there are to many people moving to fast to fire down the sights. The same as above. The trick this only works on Xbox and PS3 is to keep walking towards them press the aim button and then immediately shoot after you press it.
The autoaim only on consoles should do most of the work for you. If there are more people, kill the from the hip. Since these shotguns are loaded with each shell one by one, you can end the reload animation early by pressing the shoot button.
This helps when an enemy comes around a corner while you are reloading. The biggest issue preventing 1 hit kills is spread, not damage.
Taking steady aim improves the killing distance dramatically, adding stopping power only improves it a tiny amount. The problem is at a certain distance your shotgun cannot deal damage, stopping power or not.
I find sleight of hand to be most helpful due to the small clip size, but juggernaut or UAV jammer are good choices depending on your playing style. As far as pistols go I like the Desert Eagle, as it is the best when you lack stopping power. It is also greatly enhanced by steady aim. The only issue is ammo, so if you take the DEagle I'd also take bandolier. This is helpful for the M as well, allowing you to add insurance shots without fear of running out of ammo.

No, no, no, no! You're doing it all wrong! W Grip or RDS whatever you prefer. We're not going to strip out the soul of the site. W is great, if you are sure you are going to kill in 1 shot. I prefer the M, for the assurance. Using this shotgun, you will need to be mildly close to one-shot someone, but it gives you 4 chances at range. Although I have used both used extensively, I still prefer the M, even though I rarely one-shot anybody.
